It was Robert Dinero and Robin Williams who were present, attended and presided over the John Belushi eulogy @ the Chateau Marmont that fatal evening before his passing.

Being confronted by a grand jury investigation was the reason Robin said he quit doing blow. John had more than all access, he was "total access" status.

There's a new slang term floating around these days, "Sheen"; "he Sheened it", or "that is so Sheen", well Charlies a good fellow and all but Belushi possessed that rare spontaneous comedic talent that was so engaging to bring forth a laugh or two. A true gift in this life and like many talents, the good lord gave him all this over there and to compensate took just a little bit from over here if you catch the drift.

Yah, but his last night wasn't his only night in the days before his death. Just wondering, given all the writing about Belushi.

Charlie Sheen a "good fellow"? Ummmm ... maybe if he ever gets some meds. Poor Robert E. Lee/President Bartlet.

Not comparing talent to (talent, or lack their of) but the frailties of human nature and the Hollywood lifestyle.

John was a major talent, he had the top TV Show in America with Saturday Night Live, top Movies in Animal House and Blues Brothers, top sold out Concerts and Record sales in Blues Brothers, no wonder why he was traveling at the speed of light!

Charlie is just a product of todays so-called "pop-culture" where talent isn't necessarily part of the equation adding to why the Great American Cultural period is behind us.

That's why we listen to music from dead people performed some 40 years ago.

It has always been better back in the golden, old days...

No good music at all these days? No bands worth seeing live?

My GOD you see a guy who is self distructing befor our very eyes. The only talent who comes very close to a melt-down and then a miraculous comeback has got to be Robert Downey Jr.He I believe overdosed went to jail than to prison and came ALL the way back. You look closely at Charlie Sheen and he still has an affect like he's done a line of blow an eighth of a mile long . Clean, I have deep serious doubts about this and as much as it sucks his kids should have been taken away even sooner. It's clear he was a cash cow for CBS and when the money came in and he was on their good graces nothing mattered. Only when he opens his mouth (not reading lines)he dug his own unemployment grave. Is it rock bottom for him, when his cash runs out or we see an od,that's when he'll go in for a stay. One other observation, I know Dr. Pinsky has been doing his thing for a long time but exploiting people is not the way. Who gets paid in this arrangement, does VHI pay Dr.Drew, do the celebs get cash for appearences, because private re-hab is very expensive.....lw

The buzz up and down Coast Village Road in Montecito today is that Rob Lowe is in serious talks with Warner Brothers to take the role in Two and 1/2 Men that Charlie Sheen used to occupy.

So, do they kill off the Charlie Sheen character? car crash, airplane crash, natural causes? I mean the replacement doesn't just jump in a seamless fashion yes/no?

Seems like a great opportunity for CBS & Warners to gain a ton of media attention on the first episode of the Fall Season and Charlies antics are only serving the hype. Remember the "Who Shot JR" hoopla?
